Models for applying the threePebbles offer

The threePebbles offer, being largely online, is incredibly flexible. There are three core environments where we see the offer working well:

• Through enterprise agencies to the general public
• In colleges, used to support current programmes or as a standalone curriculum offer
• In schools, to supplement business and enterprise courses

In the future we also envisage using the programmes in a commercial environment.

In each scenario, there are a number of alternatives to the way that the content can be delivered. We aim to work in partnership with you to find the best solution for your particular needs.

Examples of how the programme has been used within schools and colleges

• Available to all students to enhance their course and integrate enterprise throughout the whole school/college
• Used by A-level Business Studies students to contribute up to a third of their studies
• Used to engage students who do not work well in the usual classroom environment
• Used alongside vocational courses to provide students with the skills needed to start-up their own business or manage a business
• Used to provide a business plan for competitions such as "Young Enterprise"
• Utilising external tutors for the online course in addition to teaching staff

Examples of how the programme has been roled out by an enterprise agency

• Marketed through business advice centres and officers
• Grant funded to allow free participation
• External tutors manage students across a wide geographical region via the online platform
